About Us

ISD is a civil engineering and roadwork development company dedicated to civil works and community development. ISD has serviced both public and private sector clients taking projects from inception, through design, including permitting and construction. ISD is also extremely proud to be Bahamian owned and operated. We believe in a sense of community patriotism and are dedicated to providing employment to local nationals.

In 2009, Bahamas Marine Construction (BMC) ventured into site development work including services on the Albany project and a joint venture was formed to determine the possible future business plan. BMC Underground Services Co. LTD. (BMCUS) as the joint venture, was formed specifically for the Albany project. The shareholders group consisted of Jim, Milton and John Mosko, Larry Treco and Godfrey Thomas. Additional projects were pursued by the group and the decision was made to proceed with a new company which became Island Site Development (ISD). The Company management was Naveen Gupta and Daniel Picek. The assets of the shareholders for the venture were very substantial – more than enough to support the business plan of ISD. ISD independently supports its own working capital, plant requirements, bonding and insurance. ISD is also an approved contractor for the Water and Sewerage Corporation.
