Water Features and Hardscapes

Creating a water feature takes special skill and a feel that is hard to teach, but comes to those with an eye for design and an engineering skill unique to the subject.

ISD has been proud to be the developer of choice for water features in The Bahamas resort Industry. We have learned under the leadership of pioneer companies like Cloward H2O, Wet Design, Valleycrest Design and Fountain People. Water features require single source accountability for successful delivery of projects.

With our mechanical and electrical engineers along with skilled managers and our design partners, ISD has delivered magazine cover-worthy products including:

• Baha Mar Show Lake: Design-Build 1.8 million gallon water feature, in association with Cloward H2O.
• Baha Mar Fountain feature: Vegas style 360 degree fountains to provide wow factor at the Baha Mar entry, in association with Fountain People.
• Baha Mar Water Wall: Main entrance porte-cochere, choreographed Water Wall that spans over 600 feet. 22 main pumps, 53 surge pumps and 680 LED submersible lights were installed to provide flow & light for choreographed animation. Sophisticated MCC and PLC control systems were installed for easy operation.
• Baha Mar Water Park: Under the leadership of ValleyCrest, ISD completed the mechanical and electrical package for Baha Mar’s five largest water features and pools.

Hardscape not only plays a functional role but also enhances the aesthetic appeal of a project. There are various types of hardscape, as well as the ability to incorporate unique designs and textures. ISD has been contracted to install hardscape functioning as pedestrian paths, roads, water features and seating, with types including:

• Natural Stone Pavers
• Wood Boardwalk
• Color Imprinted Concrete
• Stamped Concrete
• Colored Stamped Concrete as Weathered Wood Planks with Wood Grain Texture and Visible Nail Heads
